Website gets a facelift

Roger Platts website mock up

May 2009 Following the launch of rogerplatts.com in 2005 the garden designer’s website has been revamped and re-launched this month with a sharper look and broader appeal marking a new stage in Roger’s business.

As well as up-dated information about the man himself, the new-look site has information on Roger’s expanding garden design business, consultancy and recent developments at the nurseries. There’s a dedicated news and articles page that will have regular features and snapshots from the world of horticulture, plus a brand new projects page giving you an insight into the garden design process, illustrating the diversity of gardens Roger has created.

“We wanted a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate site on which garden enthusiasts, horticultural experts and potential clients could browse,” says Roger. “While the old website was a great starting point we have done so much in the past four years that it no longer represents our expansion. We felt it was time for additions to be made.”

The pages are clear and concise and cover the wider aspects of what Roger Platts Garden Design and Nurseries has to offer. More events, links and news about ‘Book II’ will be items to watch out for in the coming months.

“We plan to use this website as a vehicle to reach a wider audience of people who love gardening and want help, advice, or simply inspiration for their next project.”

  • ‘But the really stunning garden was the one created by Roger Platts. It was a partly restored neglected plot celebrating 75 years of the National Gardens Scheme. The neglected bit was very wild, with a rusty old mower, and the restored bit was very flowery and romantic. We were waiting for Roger with the TV cameras when he arrived early on Tuesday morning before the public were let in, and we had to point out the envelope someone had left propped up for him. His reaction when he opened it and found he’d won Best In Show was a picture. It was great to be there to see that.’
