    Hi Sarah

Many thanks for your email and sorry this is such a late reply. Although we don’t post comments on the site itself, thank you for yours on behalf of Roger (I shall forward this to him) and of course I shall pass your ‘big hello’ on to Stephen for you! I can throw in a hug if you like?

    Kind regards

    Charlotte McDonald

  • ‘But the really stunning garden was the one created by Roger Platts. It was a partly restored neglected plot celebrating 75 years of the National Gardens Scheme. The neglected bit was very wild, with a rusty old mower, and the restored bit was very flowery and romantic. We were waiting for Roger with the TV cameras when he arrived early on Tuesday morning before the public were let in, and we had to point out the envelope someone had left propped up for him. His reaction when he opened it and found he’d won Best In Show was a picture. It was great to be there to see that.’
