It’s Gold for Roger!

Chelsea 2010 - The M&G GardenAfter an eight-year break and then just five month’s preparation and build, Roger has scooped a Gold medal for his M&G Garden at Chelsea 2010.

Judges stopped filming as they swarmed on to the garden Monday morning to make the final decisions on Roger’s traditional design with a twist.Chelsea 2010 - The Stone Roses

But it wasn’t until first thing Tuesday until the results were delivered to a delighted designer and his team.

“For me, Chelsea isn’t about the medal winning,” says Roger, “but naturally I am over the moon with this result! The team has worked incredibly hard over the past few months and I have to say that in the time scale we had to put this together, the whole process has actually run extremely smoothly – and we’ve all had a wonderful time creating it, too. For me, I hope that the visitors will get a lot of pleasure and inspiration from the garden and lots of ideas to take home with them.”
