Brief
Create an intimate atmosphere with flexibility for large numbers of people. To have a strong English theme, interest and look good for events throughout the year. Garden to be used as a setting for wedding parties and other photo opportunities. Must have access for the wedding vehicles through the garden.

Notable Features
English sandstone, Victorian paving bricks and English oak pergolas.

Challenges
Work was fitted in between events with tight deadlines met with an element of ‘instant results’ as the garden to be used early on for functions in the first season of planting.

The story so far

  • The whole garden is on clay soil and has all of Mr Platts hallmarks, including imaginative planting and exquisite colouring. It’s a joy to the eye.’
